Here's Looking...for...you kid.I am at the end of my first week off from work. I went to work on Monday. I had Tuesday morning off but then attended college in the afternoon - only to find the first lecturer had called in sick. So using the democratic process most (I hope) of the class decided to head home.
I spent Wednesday reading up in preparation for a 2500 word assignment due in on Friday. It was labourious as most of the reading is pure theory and is other peoples ideas. I would read and then play on the computer (urban terror - can't seem to get tired of it).
I then did 1300 words on Thursday and completed the work by Friday 4.30pm. I then cycled into town and dropped the work off at the Uni. I cycled through the pedestrian zone in the centre of town narrowly avoiding people - avoiding only because it's the law :). I am obviously hoping to see Lisa and keep expecting Divine Intervention.
On arriving back home I found myself continually sneezing. It was only when my nephew showed up with Hay fever symptoms that I realized that I too am afflicted. It might also explain the lethargy and headaches that have been my bane for the past month. In fact I kept putting off the coursework because I felt so lousy.
We went Go-Karting last week. It was great fun. One of the guys ended up with 3 broken ribs. I didn't win - I kept taking the sharp bends too fast and kept coming to a complete stop. The Go-karts had poor acceleration. Next time, hopefully there will be a next time, I shall endeavour to maintain my inertia and rely on the kart's speed. Karting is fun but expensive too.
Injuries continue to hound me. I am in my second week of a hamstring pull (right leg). This was caused by my failing to warm up. My left side torso muscle is still refusing to heal. None of these aches stop me cycling but the hamstring stops me playing football. I suspect a possible contributory factor may be the saddle on my bike - it tends to dig in to the hamstring in question.
